Take M3 west, At Junction 8, take A303, At Andover take A343 towards
Salisbury, Continue as A30 to Salisbury, At Salisbury follow signs

Take M27 west; beyond Junction 1, it continues as A31
Take A31 past Ringwood, and follow signs for Dorchester
Take A31 south of Wimborne, and follow signs for Blandford
At Roundabout with A350, take 3rd exit onto A350, towards Blandford

From Bath, take A36 towards Warminster
Follow part of Warminster bypass
After a few roundabouts, take A350 south to Shaftesbury
At Shaftesbury, follow signs for A30 and Salisbury through 2 roundabouts
AFTER 300 YARDS, turn right onto B3081 towards Melbury Abbas
After 1 mile, do NOT turn left with the B3018
Continue straight on through Melbury Abbas, along high road towards
Blandford

Directions from Exeter (the west)
Take A30 towards Honiton
Follow A30 and then A303 past Ilminster
At Wincanton, turn off onto A357
Follow A357 towards Blandford
At Durweston, proceed through village; (Portman Lodge is the large
yellow house on the right)
As the road begins to curve left, turn RIGHT onto gravel track
There is a stone lodge ahead of you (Durweston Lodge); follow
gravel drive to Portman Lodge
THEN
Reach roundabout on the Blandford Bypass, Take the 3rd exit, A350,
towards Shaftesbury. Go straight across each roundabout (2nd exit
each time) At first traffic lights, turn left on A357 to Durweston
Proceed over narrow stone bridge
150 yards on the bend, turn left onto gravel track There is a
stone lodge ahead of you (Durweston Lodge)
Follow gravel drive to Portman Lodge

The nearest railway stations are Salisbury, Gillingham, Sherborne,
Poole and Bournemouth. By Bus
Direct (albeit infrequent) coach service between London’s
Victoria Coach Station and Blandford. Local buses and taxis run
from Blandford to Durweston.
